Alexia Brown M.P.A., is a Research Support Specialist at the Survey and Evaluation Research Lab. She earned a Bachelor of Science from VCU in Urban Psychology, with a minor in Sociology. She has been a part of the Virginia Commonwealth iCubed Scholars Program under the core of Disrupting Criminalization in Education, working on changing how the criminal justice system interacts with traumatized youth.

She has also contributed to a training program via the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance, to empower young women with tools to improve their interactions with others in positive and productive ways. This interaction led to her training to facilitate their “Do You” program. Alexia completed her fellowship placement at the Wilder School’s Survey and Evaluation Research Lab working on such projects as the Rappahannock Area Health District Community Engagement, VDH Sickle Cell Survey, Virginia Department of Health Legislative Tracking Project, Community Service Boards of Virginia Prevention and Readiness Project, the VDOT Quarterly Report, VDSS-DCSE Project, and her current role with the City Richmond’s Gun Violence Prevention Initiative Program Evaluation for the Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative. Alexia enjoys exercising, traveling, and engaging in a variety of arts and crafts.
